Give Thanks

Thanksgiving......a Holiday where families get together and either fight, drink too much, have alot of fun, or those without families try to ignore what is going on. What will you be doing on this day of "Thanks"? My Dad always told me to "make it your own", whether it be in business or a writing project in school. Since both of my parents are on the Other Side, my husband, daughter and I usually do something random on Thanksgiving-our "new" tradition. I choose not to fall into the energy of having to cook, socialize, fight or do the same thing year after year since I am left to figure out new traditions for my Family. Why change traditions, you wonder? Because the traditions that I grew up with stopped working for me when I was a teenager (a looooong time ago), and now since I am the Matriarch of my Family, I can choose to change things up a bit. So many of us feel pressured or sad during the Holidays-it is time to let that go. Let it go. There is no need to fall into the commercialism, or expectations of others surrounding the Holiday Season of November and December. Make it your own, change the energy-I bet you are not the only one who would appreciate that! If you are alone this year, remember-you are never alone. You have friends who love you, family members somewhere who hold you in their Heart Center, and of course-your Angels and Guides are with you at all times.  Get into gratitude and give thanks for the blessings bestowed upon you-no matter big or small, they are precious and just for you!

Autumn Equinox!

Autumn Equinox has arrived! This special time can mean different things to different people, but overall it is a time to 'harvest' what has been planted and move on to plan the next abundance of crops. Summer has turned into Fall, and Winter is not long behind.  In other words, plan for changes, and times of quiet growth that cannot be seen outwardly.....Have you been working on letting go of certain attributes or situations that have grown as much as possible, or ideas that have not grown at all? Let it go, harvest them and revel in their beauty or place them in the mulch pile to come back to life at a later time. Mother Earth is putting on a spectacular show, shedding old growth and covering herself up for the next season. She is entering a time of rest yet renewal, in order to come back more beautiful and stronger than ever in the Spring. Sounds incredible, right?? Yes-we can emulate Mother Earth, and let go/shed old ideas and situations that have turned brown and dry in order to make room for new growth. We can enjoy a time of rest and taking care of ourselves, in order to continue to grow into beauty and strength. Take some time to journal today, to look at what intentions are truly beneficial for your highest good, not your ego. Release everything else, turning it into light to be regenerated by the Universe into love and healing energy.  Ground yourself into the energies of Mother Earth, as she is growing stronger and stronger in order to withstand the energies of upcoming Winter. Shed all that is ready to drop off of you, and go inward so your beauty can shine outward. Jess
