Further Meridian Info

And now for the next 3  Meridians. Just a reminder that imbalances in the Meridian system may cause pain, numbness, heat or cold issues and illness. This can be the result of an injury along the Meridian line, overuse of a limb or muscles along the Meridian line, or an organ  injury or weakness  along the Meridian line. Have you ever noticed that if you are prone to bladder infections, you may have tenderness along both sides of your spine also? This can be the result of the Bladder Meridian being blocked for a time-Shiatsu or acupressure can assist in the balancing of the energies there.
The 3 Meridians I will discuss now are the Bladder, Kidney and Heart envelope aka Heart Constrictor. The Bladder runs from the inside corner of the eye down to the little toe. A block or imbalance may cause bladder problems, headache, eye diseases, neck and back problems, pain along the back of the leg, fever and aversion to cold and stiff neck.  The illnesses associated with that Meridian are bladder infections and migraines running from the back of the skull to the forehead. There may also be pain running along the entire Meridian.
The Kidney Meridian runs from the sole of the foot to the top of the chest. . A block or imbalance may cause pain and/or muscle spasms in the lower back and sole of the foot, stiff back, pain in the muscles and joints of the ankle, lower leg and thigh. . The illnesses associated with that Meridian are kidney infections, lung problems, dry tongue, constipation or diarrhea, and pain and weakness along the Meridian.
The Heart Constrictor runs from beside the nipple to the little finger.  A block or imbalance may cause a stiff neck, contraction of elbow or hand, superficial chest pains and pain or spasms along the Meridian line. The illnesses associated with that Meridian are diseases of the urogenital system, hernia, cough, breathing difficulties and breast problems. These are 7-9 of the 12 Meridians, there will be more info to follow-and remember, this is only 1 technique of looking at the body system to work with illness and imbalance. Your practitioner cannot diagnose or cure you, they can only work with your body in order to create a healing environment so you can be at optimal health.
